If you're a real computer nerd you rarely ever buy a computer and use it straight out of the stockroom. Usually you look around for more and better parts that you can upgrade it with. But the truth is there's nothing more satisfying than building and using your very own computer.

Usually you could go and find dirt cheap computers for a more affordable price and revamp the entire thing by yourself. But that's a hassle and people don't necessarily have the time or the money to spend on it. It's usually easier to get your hands on a pretty decent laptop and keep the better parts and upgrade the other parts that need it.
