Buy Cheap Computer Parts From Fry's Electronics

cheap computer partsIf you live near Phoenix, AZ then it is very likely that you know about Fry's Electronics. I recently had the pleasure of visiting one of their stores, and I must say that I was blown away. The size of the store was tremendous and I could not believe how large their inventory was. If I was not busy that day I would have probably stayed there for hours and just looked around.

For those of you who are not able to visit their stores, you can shop at their online store by visiting www.outpost.com. Fry's has tons of cheap computer parts from many different manufacturers and a lot of their items are accompanied by rebates as well. Most of the parts that they sell are for PC's, but they do have a good selection of Apple Computers as well as some individual components.

During my recent visit, I was in the market for a new CPU fan because I suspected that my old one was failing. During my visit, I also realized that I was in need of a new video card. I was able to find a cheap CPU fan for only $9.99, as well as a 3D FUZION GeForce FX 5500 Graphics Card with 256 MB of DDR-RAM that was $49.95 after a mail-in rebate. I can honestly say that I was pretty happy with my purchases.

If I understand correctly, Fry's Electronics only ships to customers in the United States. If you live in the U.S. and are in need of some cheap computer parts then I recommend that you check out their website and look around.

A Great Website For Cheap Laptop Computers

cheap laptop computersI have always been a fan of Tiger Direct for purchasing individual computer parts and components, but it appears that they have some great deals on laptop computers as well. One of the nice things about Tiger Direct is the fact that they have a secure Google checkout interface, which can be reassuring for most online consumers.

If you visit www.tigerdirect.com, you will find a large list of cheap laptop computers for sale. However, when I say "cheap," I'm not talking about some junky machines that are heavily outdated. These computers have dual-core processors, large hard drives and plenty of memory.

For example, one of the machines that is available right now is an HP Pavillion dv6604nr. This computer has a 1.8 GHz AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual-Core processor, 1 GB DDR2 RAM, 160 GB Hard Drive, A DVD-RW Drive, 15.4" display and more for only $579.99. I don't think a deal like that will last very long, but Tiger Direct is always getting new inventory so great machines like that come and go. I suggest that you visit their website A.S.A.P. and start searching through their catalog of cheap laptop computers.

Finding Discount Used Computers Can Be Easy

discount used computersIn most cases, a used computer is going to be a much better purchase than a brand new one. By this, I mean that the amount of money that you will save by purchasing a fairly old machine will outweigh the satisfaction of having a brand new one. Craigslist.org is probably the best source for discount used computers, especially since you can narrow it down to your general location. I have spoken with several people who have purchased used desktop computers and laptops from Craigslist and almost all of them have had good experiences. Of course, it is possible to purchase a machine that has serious problems but this is not very likely. To avoid something like this, all you have to do is test the machine before you hand over the money.

You can also try searching for discount used computers at Ebay.com but this will require you to win an auction and then deal with shipping costs. If you are on a really tight budget and want something as soon as possible, then I suggest that you check out Craigslist.

Discount Computer Equipment at Newegg.com

discount computer equipmentI understand that not everyone is very computer savvy, and a lot of older individuals are intimidated by new technology. However, if you really want to save money on a powerful computer then the best route to go is to purchase individual parts and then make your own customized machine. Computers that are already assembled are over-priced in terms of what each part actually costs, and many large retailers like Best Buy and Circuit City will make you pay a lot more than you actually need to.

Newegg.com is one of the best places on the Internet to buy individual computer parts from, and they have a huge inventory. If you already know how to assemble computers then you may know about Newegg.com to begin with. However, for those of you who do not have IT knowledge, I would suggest that you ask around for some help. If you have a friend or family member that can work with PC hardware and assemble computers then you might want to ask for some help. You may also be able to find an individual who will provide this same service for a small price. The bottom line is that building your own customized computer will cost a lot less than purchasing one that is already assembled, and it will most likely be a lot more powerful and durable.

Check out www.newegg.com and browse through their catalog of discount computer equipment. Newegg also sells pre-assembled computers and laptops, but once again you will be paying a little extra for these items.
